Forgotten your documents or keys at home? Swiggy Go, is your savior

Swiggy GO Delivery

Do you still have three apps, each for food, household items, parcel delivery services? Not anymore. Those were the old days when you were just ordering mouth-watering meals at your doorsteps through Swiggy. Trust me, this new feature of Swiggy and its store services will help you save your ass in many situations. Not only the keys or important documents, Swiggy Go will help you delivering flowers, lunch boxes, laundry, medicines, toiletries, and what not in no time. ‘Swiggy Go’ is your new soulmate.

And if you think this is all, you are mistaken, my friend because not only the forgotten ones, but you can also order any stuff from your favorite retail shop of the city and it could be delivered at your doorsteps within an hour and the icing on the cake, will be the ‘free delivery services’ within 6 km range. What this company said for Banglore is that they will be delivered from any retail store, like Organic World, Godrej Nature’s Basket, Nilgiri’s, Nandu’s Chicken and many more. So, HURRAY! Swiggy Go is all set to make its debut on the ramp of the hyperlocal delivery market. This app will also be delivering your important parcels from one point to another. Nevertheless, the concept of ‘last-mile delivery for everything’ was first started by Google-backed Dunzo, apparently Swiggy’s biggest competitor in the IT city. Dunzo started the operations in 2015

Having the intention to give intense competition to Dunzo, Swiggy Go is all set to rock in the hyperlocal delivery market anyway! HOLA!

Also, the CEO of the company, Sriharsha Majety said, “The company’s vision is to elevate the quality of life of urban consumers by offering unparalleled convenience’. He also added, ‘By 2020, we will expand Swiggy Go to over 300 cities and its stores to all the major metros, ushering in a new era of convenience for consumers across India’.”

The whole surprise is not revealed yet, the company also has announced the on-demand delivery service via ‘Swiggy stores’ in Bengaluru and Hyderabad which means, the app-based start-up will be into doorstep delivery of medicines, flowers, and several other things in just an hour with ‘Store’ service. Isn’t it, cool? Services of stores were first available in Gurugram but look like it is wholeheartedly targeting to collaborate, with more than 3.5k stores in NCR including partners like Needs Supermarket, Licious, Ferns and Petals, Zappfresh and many others to make the list a little longer. This five years old baby, Swiggy is all grown up now. In 2014, three BITS Pilani alumni- Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy and Rahul Jaimini started the venture with only six delivery partners and 20 restaurants and since then, there’s no looking back. In just a few years’ journeys, it has been expanded now by connecting consumers to over 1.3 lakh restaurant partners across more than 325 cities of the country.

Now the question is, Will Swiggy Go is going to be a threat for Dunzo? Will Swiggy Go a better alternative? Will Dunzo change its strategies to keep ruling the market? Who will win the hyperlocal battle? Hope we will get to see some alluring discounts by Dunzo to attract the users. SWIGGY GO & SWIGGY STORE SERVICES > DUNZO? Only the time and users will tell.

Just a few months more, and be ready to experience Swiggy Go in more than 300 cities by 2020. Bengaluru will be the first city in the country to reap the benefits of Swiggy Go real soon after completing the pilot in Gurugram.
