ITC hotels have recently partnered with India’s one of the most popular online food order service Swiggy. Through this, ITC is trying to reach its customer without them coming to the establishment. This is also a step towards customer base expansion.
ITC hotels said that now customers can enjoy their favorite food at the comfort of their home. No contact delivery method will be followed strictly for all online orders. Meaning food delivery associates will leave the parcel at your doorstep. Keeping the risks at bay.
In addition to that mandatory temperature checks of chefs, food delivery associates will happen to ensure the highest degree of hygiene. Chain has also set up special counters from where the food will be picked. These counters are equipped with hand sanitizers and thermometers. Human elements in food handover is also kept hygienic as much as possible.
In phase one, ITC Hotels would begin with this partnership with Swiggy for many of its properties across India. These would include ITC Kohenur (Hyderabad), ITC Rajputana (Jaipur), ITC Grand Chola (Chennai), ITC Gardenia (Bangaluru), ITC Windsor (Bengaluru), ITC Grand Goa (Goa) ITC Maurya (New Delhi), ITC Royal Bengal (Kolkata), and Welcomhotel Bengaluru.
In phase two, more ITC Hotels and Welcomhotel properties will be added to the Swiggy home delivery initiative. This looks like ITC is trying to dive into food delivery market. Also, ITC would be first one to partnered with a food delivery app.
